heyy. so it's the beginning of real winter now, so i thought it would be time for this tip! enjoy!
 

- make sure your parent/ guardian calls into your school so you have an excused absence.

- only stay home sick if you REALLY feel sick, because you're gonna have to make up the work anyways..

- don't fake sick. just don't do it. it's not worth missing a day of school for. in my opinion. no, i'm not saying i love school and it's so great, but chances are you're really gonna get sick one time this year, so don't waste being out sick for nothing.

- dress in sweats/ pj's so you're super comfy all day on your road to recovery. (:

- if you know that you have a test/ quiz the next day, use staying home to your advantage & study! no, not ALL day, but maybe one hour during the day & then more at night! of course, only if you feel up to it!

- drink tea or hot chocolate if you have a sore throat, preferably tea, but hot chocolate would work too.

- if you have a cold, drink orange juice!! it REALLY helps! drinking normal is fine, but drinking the calcium & vitamin D enriched one is even better!

- hydrate with water! drinking water throughout the day ( a lot! ) no matter what sickness you have. if you have a stomach bug, take it easy at first, but make sure to drink water or you can get realllllyyy dehydrated! trust me, my cousin had a stomach bug & didn't drink any water so then she had to go to the hospital for dehydration! so drink it. also, if you have a cold it helps prevent coughing sometimes.

- use an emergency inhaler if you need one. if you are diagnosed with asthma or cold-induced asthma, take your inhaler, but you probs know that!

- take medicine! take benedryl, motrin, pepto-bismol, etc for a fast recovery!

- read! reading might not be your favorite activity, but if you have a book report due in two weeks, this day being at home can be a great head start to reading!!

- relax! sleep really matters when you're sick. go to bed as early as possible!

- don't bother your parents all day! they won't want to keep you home again! lol (: jayy kayy ♥

- listen to music. it can be super realxing & a great pass time!

- play some gamees on your ipod to pass time (:

- that list of stuff to do on a rainy day that you still haven't done? do it! ( if you can)

- make a collage

yum! my grandma makes these ALL the time for our family & they are spectacular! this isn't her recipe, but it is basically the same thing! (: they're perfect going into this holiday season full or parties & get togethers! (:

Ingredients

1/2 cup butter, softened
1/2 cup white sugar
3 eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
3 cups all-purpose flour
3 teaspoons baking powder
sprinkles ( optional)

Directions:

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease cookie sheets.

2.In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until smooth. Mix in the egg and vanilla. Combine the flour and baking powder; stir into the creamed mixture until blended. Divide dough into walnut sized portions. Roll each piece into a rope and then shape into a loop. Place cookies 2 inches apart on the prepared cookie sheets.

3. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes in the preheated oven, until firm and golden at the edges.

O1. STRETCH IT OUT. when you wake up, just stretch out a little before you get out of bed! doing yoga for just 10 minutes a day will boost your energy!

O2. EAT A BETTER BREAKFAST. eating a breakfast with protein will help you get awake! but you should have some carbs & fruit too! & don't forget to hydrate!!!

O3. BREATHE. when you're feeling tired- just start taking deep breaths! you bring more oxygen into the body, so more oxygen goes to the brain & you're more awake!

O4. POWERFUL PACKED LUNCH. pack your lunch! you can choose what you get, which means no more mystery meat! & you can power pack it with tons of healthy foods filled with proteins and nutrients to keep you energized all day long!

O5. GET UP & GO! on those days where you feel gross & don't feel like doing anything besides watching tv, exercise! i know it sounds weird, but it gets your blood pumping & WILL wake you up, boost your energy; so it will make you feel better! (:

SLEEP! well, this one is a little obvious, but it's true! also, the scent of jasmine is proven to help you fall asleep faster! turn of your phone, i-pod, TV & computer about a half hour before you go to bed, it will clear your mind and help you fall asleep faster! similarly, don't do HW right before bed either!! but reading an independent reading book is always a nice way to slowly drift off to sleep! or listening to calming, quiet & soft music.

O8. CLEAR YOUR MIND. take just 5 minutes every night to just clear your head of all thoughts and stressors. it can help you relax before bed and fall asleep faster too, which will lead to more energy tomorrow & if you do it in the middle of the day, more energy for the rest of the day! (:

so, i see you are in need of some good advice! well, your problem ends here! i can be totally honest, trust-worthy & i will listen to what you have to say. i will NEVER judge you for the situation you may be facing because that is completely awful. so, if you are in need of some advice, just PM me & i will tell you if your advice made the 'cut' ( i will only make 5-10 in the set), but the good news is that if you PM me & you don't make it in time, then i may probably just respond with some advice anyway! :)

talking to your crush at a party is a lot different than tlaking to him at school! here are some easy ways to start a convo! (:

- if he's hanging out with friends in the couch..
say.. 'did you just see that guy trip over himself?!'
& that could be an easy conversation starter! * even if it didn't happen!* :)

- if he's hanging with a bunch of guys..
you say: psst. my friend thinks your friend is cute, is he single?'

- is he's eating..
say...' what do i have to do to get you to share? (:'

now, the first two... don't have to be true! it's just an easy ice breaker & convo starter!

remember, don't stay with him the whole time, most guys hate clingy girls!!

but on the other hand, don't try to hard & be an attention whore!

also, if you're of age- don't get like super drunk, especially if a guy or your bf is driving you home. some guys 1. may not like it & two, if they're not very nice, could try to take advantage of you.

2. HAVE CONFIDENCE!

* uggs- are not a good idea because with all the dancing, your feet will be sweaty!
* flip flops- not a good idea because your toes could get stepped on!

HAIR:
-straightened ponytail & pouf
- fishtail
- french braid

- down, ( i would recommend to bring a hair tie! )

* i wouldn't wear a long necklace or any valuable jewelry! no long necklaces b/c if your dancing it will bounce up & down and like hit you or someone in the face. & no expensive jewelry because like if you loose it it could be difficult to find & then replace!
